So what exactly is a tech pack and why do I need one?
A tech pack is an important document for liaising between the designer/brand and their manufacturer. It contains ALL the essential information on how to construct each garment.
Flat cad's with detailed annotations, size spec and points of measurement chart, bill of materials, colours, trims, construction directions, labels.......the list goes on.
Each separate garment will need it's own tech pack, for example a pyjama set will need a pack for the top and a pack for the trouser. However multiple colour ways can be added to one pack, as long as the construction is the same.
Benefits of a tech pack.
A good tech pack can benefit you at all stages of your garment sampling and production. From ease of communication at the sampling stage, showing your pattern cutter the fit and details you want and the sample machinist how to construct each seam and detail, thus reducing sampling costs. To sourcing a factory, sourcing components and accurate costings. To finally a detailed reference to refer back to once the exciting production has arrived!
What does a Tech pack look like?
A couple of examples of what a tech pack can look like, the complexity and size depends on the complexity of each garment. For more examples of tech packs pls visit my website.

One day for my birthday I decided to give myself something that I always wanted to get, but for some reason I put it off. I usually don’t spend a lot of time shopping for myself, but this time was an exception. I walked into the https://chantara-jewellery.com/ store and immediately realized that this store was different from the rest. There was more to it than just a row of jewelry displays. I noticed a stunning silver bracelet with a unique design. I can’t describe exactly what attracted me to this piece of jewelry, but it literally “spoke” to me. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one.
